Families First is Gloucestershire's local name for the national Troubled Families programme. This is a three year programme aimed at turning around the lives of the estimated 120,00 'Troubled Families' across the country. It is being overseen by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and Gloucestershire has agreed with DCLG to work with 900 families over the life of the programme.
