Executive Board

The Executive Board consists of a senior member from each of the Partner agencies and whose strategic oversight enables them to fulfil their responsibility in providing direction for the GSCB.  This is done through their bi monthly meetings during which they delegate tasks to the sub committees, who subsequently report back to them.

Aim

To promote the protection and well being of Children and Young People in Gloucestershire, in line with the outcomes of Every Child Matters, by ensuring there is adequate preparation and awareness amongst all participating agencies, groups or individuals involved in working with Children, through having access to up to date polices and procedures which are consistent with local and national guidance.

Objective

  • To ensure that local policies, procedures and protocols are up to date, comprehensive and consistent with statute, regulations and national guidance.

  • To ensure that the principles of safeguarding children are reflected in the development and creation of procedures and policy.

  • To ensure awareness amongst GSCB member agencies of national and local best practice guidance

  • To ensure all staff from GSCB member agencies have access to up to date Gloucestershire GSCB child protection procedures.

  • To ensure staff from GSCB member agencies are kept informed about changes to Gloucestershire GSCB child protection procedures

  • To provide information to the Gloucestershire GSCB about advice/guidance from Government;

  • To report back to Gloucestershire GSCB about the progress of changes to procedures;

  • To ensure all policies and procedures of the Gloucestershire GSCB reflect anti discriminatory practice of the committee.
