During
the September 2005 ACPC Executive Meeting, Duncan Siret was
announced as the Safeguarding Children Manager with responsibility
for the Safeguarding Children Service which combines the functions
of the Child Protection Unit, GSCB Training and GSCB
Administration all under one name.
Duncan
Siret, was the Lead Child Protection Coordinator and previously
a Social Worker since 1989. Duncan was selected as
the Safeguarding Children Manager since
he has a considerable history with working in child protection,
because of his knowledge of child protection issues and also a
broad depth multi agency working experience. He
is also the Chair of the Policy and Procedure Sub-committee and
the Monitoring and Performance Sub-committee.
Duncan
is now working to ensure that the GSCB is well co-ordinated and
establishes as a central body for Safeguarding. |
