Publicity & Communications Sub Committee

Our aim is to disseminate good practice, take responsibility to communicate the Child Protection procedures and processes and to create Child Protection awareness by promoting and publicising the work of: Gloucestershire GSCB.

 

 

The GSCB communications' objectives and strategy are followed through by the CYPSP Communications Group. 

 

 

Objectives

  • To ensure the channelling of information and communication effectively. This includes ensuring the correct target audience and appropriate methods of communication.

  • To review plans frequently in order to meet new needs.

  • To ensure compliance with policy and procedure, as well as recognised best       practice, in the execution of the above. Examples include: The use of �Plain English� or �crystal marked� documents

  • To ensure effective medium and long-term plans exist to deliver to the Communications Strategy.

The Communications Strategy

  • Objective 1: �Raise awareness and understanding of all national and local policies, strategies and legislation across all organisations.

  • Objective 2: �Increase consultation with and participation by all stakeholder organisations, including children and young people, in the development of the Children and Young People�s Plan�

  • Objective 3: �Offer effective guidance and assistance in changing the communication and professional practices in children�s services for all stakeholder organisations�
