Important changes to GSCB Training Pages
The Safeguarding Training page looks a bit different, below are details of what the changes are and how they will affect you.
Safeguarding Training page now includes a "What you need to know about GSCB Training Courses" page. This page contains frequently asked questions, these include;
- Which Child Protection Training Course should I attend?
- How do I book training for Early Years staff and Childminding Assistants who are not the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs)
- How do I book on a Safeguarding training course?
- How much do GSCB courses cost?
- Are there any cancellation charges?
- What are the booking conditions?
- Who do I contact with any queries about booking onto a course?
The biggest change is to the "Multi-Agency Training courses page". This is a gateway to all our courses. Once you know which course you would like to attend simply click on the course for details of the course content and details of the dates, venues and times. Next to each course date, there is a link to our online booking form which should be completed and submitted to secure your place on the course.
The Early Years single agency training is a new addition to the range of GSCB courses. This training is delivered in partnership with the GSCB and early years staff have had their places on these courses funded by the Early Years Child Care Services without incurring a charge. This single agency training is aimed at all Early Years and Childcare Practitioners in Gloucestershire, who are not the Designated Safeguarding Lead. This includes all Early Years staff working with the under 5's, nursery staff, day care settings, and childminders (who are not the designated safeguarding lead) etc. Sessions offered include mornings, afternoons, Saturdays and evenings. There are two courses available, the induction training and refresher training, details and dates and venues can be found on this page and the booking process is the same as with the multi agency training, with the online booking form next to each course date.
Further changes to update course objectives and levels of training will also be added in the future.
