Training Course Booking

The GSCB training programme aims to deliver training on a multi-agency basis to anyone working with children.

The courses are FREE to all GSCB Partner Agencies.

Practitioners working in the independent and voluntary sectors will be charged a nominal fee for this training.

Due to the� high demand of the courses can we advise you to e-mail/ telephone Julie between 9am and 1pm prior to booking to check regarding course availability.� After which you may fill in the booking forms accordingly.

The course booking forms are available by clicking below.� First save on your hard disk, then fill in and e-mail to� Julie Haines as per the booking conditions below (in particular 7,8 and 9).

Booking Conditions

  1. We recommend a maximum of 20 participates.

  2. Bookings will be accepted only on the standardised "Course Booking Form�, which can be obtained from this website above or the Training Department.

  3. The Course Booking Form must be fully completed.�

  4. Please ensure you quote the course title when making your booking.

  5. Any special requirements e.g. loop system, wheelchair access etc. must be clearly stated on the Course Booking Form.

  6. Lunch is generally not provided, although refreshments are.� Please see joining instructions for more information.

  7. Line managers must have approved attendance by signing the �Course Booking Form�

  8. The completed �Course Booking Form� must be posted or faxed to the Training Team, where possible, 6 weeks prior to the date of the course.

  9. Emailed Course Booking Forms are accepted only from the line manager's email address.

  10. Telephone or provisional bookings will not be accepted.

  11. As we often receive more bookings for a particular date than we can accommodate, we always endeavour to place people on the next available course.� Participants will be informed in writing if a course is fully booked or cancelled and will be provided with alternative dates to chose from.� In this case, participants will not have to complete another booking form.

  12. If the employee is unable to attend the course due to an emergency or sickness absence, the Training Team must be notified as soon as possible.

  13. Non-attendances, not due to the above reasons, will incur a �20 non-attendance fee and line managers notified (this fee will be raised through an ITV to the line manager).

  14. Complaints about the training process can be made through the departmental Complaints Procedure.
